ANSWERS TO THE MOST COMMON ENQUIRIES
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT MY SIGN WILL LOOK LIKE?
After we have received your order we will email a proof for your approval. The proof usually has 4 possible options so you can decide which option would suit your requirements best.

HOW DO I FIX MY SIGN?
Due to the fact that we don’t really like drilling holes into our signs every sign is sent with brass fixing plates and simple fixing instructions. More details can be found here.

You may prefer to have holes pre-drilled into your sign, this isn’t a problem, just let us know when ordering where you would like them and we will show you there position on your proof when we email it to you for your approval.
HOW DO I LOOK AFTER MY SIGN?
Each sign and/or post is treated with three coats of a high quality OSMO UV extra oil.  The oil will give a tough breathable coating that will not flake over time. The treatment should last for at least 2 years without requiring any further maintenance.

The position of your sign will determine how regularly you will need to oil it. If the sign is in full sun or were it will receive a lot of weather you may find your sign needs a regular treatment to keep it looking like new.
If and when your sign shows signs of fading or looking dry simply apply a coat of good quality wood oil, preferably OSMO UV oil and your sign will be renewed to its former glory. The natural colour of Oak when it has weathered is grey, if you don't give your sign a regular coat of oil it will weather to grey overtime. Giving it a quick brush or rub with oil will keep it looking like new.
HOW LONG DO THE SIGNS TAKE?
Apart from the actual engraving, which is done on a CNC machine, all of the manufacturing process of our signs and posts is done by hand. Signs are painted, finished and oiled by hand and great care is taken over every process. Due to this, signs take between 7-10 working days. The quickest we can despatch an urgent sign is around 4 days but due to the volumes we produce it is not possible to treat every order as urgent I am afraid. We do our very best to deliver your sign to you as soon as possible.

DO YOU TAKE PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE OR ACCEPT CHEQUES?
We can take payment over the phone with all major credit and debit cards being accepted. Cheques are also accepted but please not it may possibly delay your order as 5 working days are required for cheques to clear.
All major cards are accepted online and depending on which option you choose go through our secure card payment system or via PayPal.
CAN I HAVE A COLOURED IMAGE?
It is possible to have coloured images. Due to the additional time involved painting and finishing a coloured image there is an additional cost of £5 per image.

CAN I HAVE A DIFFERENT FONT OR IMAGE TO THAT SHOWN ON YOUR WEBSITE?
We have 1000's of images and 100's of fonts in our vast library, so please do feel free to request any image and font and we will do our very best to 
accommodate your requirements.

CAN I HAVE A DIFFERENT SIZE TO THE SIZES SHOWN ON YOUR WEBSITE?
